OPENING CEREMONIES

It was a beautiful sunny day as we gathered for lunch. David Mitten led in the singing of the National Anthem and Paul Witmer followed up with the invocation.

TABLE TALK

It was great to have Stan Jones visiting today.

Our PM hosted a town hall at Bennies High School last evening which led to the usual interesting happenings and differences of opinion.

Larry did Bingo last evening. He really enjoyed his time an commented on the near completion of renovations that will include more Tap Tics machines..

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS REPORT

We had 19 members of 26 present today. This works out to be 76 % attendance. Stan Jones was visiting as was our speaker Laura Martin.

HAPPY-TOONIES

Dave Thomas was a happy man as he won the spoils of the 50/50.

Larry reminded all members of the upcoming Fun Run.

Gerry fulfilled our OLG obligations at the Bingo Hall by presenting Langs with a cheque from the proceeds.

Laureen was very happy as her daughter has graduated from UofG and will be applying to nursing at Mac.

She is extremely excited of the news that the rental property has SOLD, SOLD, SOLD.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

We presented a cheque to Laura Martin of Oak Ridges School. The funds will be used to assist in the training of parents to be more mindlful. Oak Ridges School serves children with Autism in the Waterloo Region by using small class sizes.

Laureen completed the leadership training and is all charged up to start her year.

Camp Enterprise is coming up May 6 - 8, 2019. Members are required to assist Wednesday afternoon with the business game. Reply to Jeff Matyas if you can help.

Golf Tournament is coming up Sept 9, 2019. Please get your teams and sponsors lined up.

NOTES:

The Sgt.‐At‐Arms shall mark the attendance sheet, input Guest Names, Visiting Rotarians and Make‐ups submitted by club members, as well as calculate the meeting percentage. You will also give the invocation when requested by the President. At the end of the meeting make sure the Secretary has the “Secretary’s Copy”.

In addition, the SAA shall also fill in the attendance details on the “Bulletin Editor’s Copy” and make sure the editor receives it by the end of the meeting.

The person who is responsible for any Ticket sales shall enter the cash details on the “Treasurer’s Copy”. They shall also collect the Happy Toonies and enter that information on the same sheet. At the end of the meeting they shall give the treasurer the tally sheet along with the cash in an envelope. There is a supply of banker’s envelopes in the tote box.
