TABLE TALK
Don D. returned home last week from his 25th anniversary African adventure  in Uganda and Kenya to see silverback gorillas and many other beautiful animals in the wild . He had great photos on his phone of many amazing animals ... 
Sean is getting accustomed  to flying solo  ,  he started to receive   fresh meals in a box to assemble at home  , in the RV .
Peter was working at Riverside park for the last three days on Ribfest set up , now in its seventh year in Cambridge !!
 
 
 
 
 
SERGEANT-AT-ARMS REPORT

Sgt-At-Arms Gerry announced that 12 of 22 members were present today. That worked out at a 55 % attendance. There was Jim Robinson , a guest of Larry Olney , very soon to be a new member .

 

HAPPY-TOONIES
 
Laureen is happy today , her lunch was paid by some spare  loonies. She also is happy you get a free cookie when you select a soup and sandwich for lunch !
 
Sean is happy that he is getting used to the single life , now 2 1/2 months . He is in a gated community , overlooking a private golf course , Whistle Bear , overlooking water ....
 
Dave Thomas is happy to be back home after  a month at the cottage . His eldest son is getting married in September . Jared will be back from Belgium in September .
 
Two more Rotarians tell us why they joined Rotary , what they like about Rotary , and their favourite Rotary moment .
 
Dave Thomas joined because of his work partner Bill Cairns . He recognized he would be a good fit for Camp Enterprise .
Dave likes the break in the work week , and the social aspect of the meetings .
His best memories come from Ribfest .
 
Don Daggett joined because he was new to the Cambridge area in 1993. He is a fan of volunteering .
Don likes his fellow Rotarians , they are like a big family .
His favourite memories are from the old year end barbeques at Mike Meyers place . and the experiences from different fundraisers.
 
 
 
 
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
Larry Olney needs someone between 5 foot 6 inches and 5 foot 11 inches to wear the A & W Root Bear costume during ribfest !!!
 
Please take Rotary lunch invitation cards to Ribfest ,  for prospective new members .
 
Plans for the Annual Cambridge North Rotary Golf Tournament is fast approaching on September 9. Please submit your teams soon. We also need prizes.please contact President Laureen with your donations. We need more golfers !!!
 
We will have more TED talks when we are short on speakers , for the upcoming meetings .

NOTES:
 

The Sgt.‐At‐Arms shall mark the attendance sheet, input Guest Names, Visiting Rotarians and Make‐ups submitted by club members, as well as calculate the meeting percentage. You will also give the invocation when requested by the President. At the end of the meeting make sure the Secretary has the “Secretary’s Copy”.


In addition, the SAA shall also fill in the attendance details on the “Bulletin Editor’s Copy” and make sure the editor receives it by the end of the meeting.

 
The person who is responsible for any Ticket sales shall enter the cash details on the “Treasurer’s Copy”. They shall also collect the Happy Toonies and enter that information on the same sheet. At the end of the meeting they shall give the treasurer the tally sheet along with the cash in an envelope. There is a supply of banker’s envelopes in the tote box.
