OPENING CEREMONIES
At 12:20 pm Pres. Mike quickly brought the assembled few to order.  Someone led the singing of O Canada and Paul Goetz read the invocation. We toasted Canada and Rotary and sat to the meals of our choosing.

TABLE TALK

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS REPORT

The Sergeant-At-Arms Paul Goetz announced that 19 members were present today, this was a 70% attendance. Sue Jennings wife of our President Mike was our Guest.

HAPPY-TOONIES

We treat our Guest very well and today was no exception, Sue Jennings was made just a little happier today. Her husband Pres. Mike was also happy that Sue was able to join us for today's meeting. They were leaving the next day for a short holiday.

 

 

 

 
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
On October 5 2018 the candidates for Mayor in the City of Cambridge will be at attending the meeting of the Sunrise Rotary club. The meeting starts at 7:15 am and the candidates should start debating at 7:45 am.
 
The Rotaract Club of Cambridge is being restarted. If you know anyone between the ages of 18 and 30 please encourage them to join.
 
Denise Smith the treasurer for Ribfest met with our treasurer Dave Thomas and presented him with a cheque for $20,000.00.  We will be getting another cheque later when the final financial accounting is accomplished.

NOTES:
The Sgt.‐At‐Arms shall mark the attendance sheet, input Guest Names, Visiting Rotarians and Make‐ups submitted by club members, as well as calculate the meeting percentage. You will also give the invocation when requested by the President. At the end of the meeting make sure
the Secretary has the “Secretary’s Copy”.

In addition, the SAA shall also fill in the attendance details on the “Bulletin Editor’s Copy” and make sure the editor receives it by the end of the meeting.

The person who is responsible for any Ticket sales shall enter the cash details on the “Treasurer’s Copy”. They shall also collect the Happy Toonies and enter that information on the same sheet. At the end of the meeting they shall give the treasurer the tally sheet along with
the cash in an envelope. There is a supply of banker’s envelopes in the tote box.

IF YOU CANNOT MAKE your assigned date, it is your responsibility to arrange for a replacement to take your time slot!! To be sure of your schedule, TELEPHONE your partner the day before.
