OPENING CEREMONIES
Pres. Mike called the assembled group to order, Jody was called on to lead the singing of the National Anthem and Fred Schiedel the invocation. After toasting Canada and Rotary we sat down to quiet conversation as we awaited our meals. Today we were told to indicate which table we were sitting so that our meals could be correctly given out. Laureen arrived late today and we were all very disappointed, there were no chips or cookies accompanying her today.

TABLE TALK
I sat at the President's table today.  Very little idle gossip occurs when you are sitting with the President, it is all bushiness.  He was busy discussing shirt styles and colours for our Bingo attire but I did learn that the President likes to see the newly released movies.
SERGEANT-AT-ARMS REPORT

Fred Schiedel was the Sgt-at-Arms today, he reported that we had 17 members present today. This was a 68 % attendance. There were no guest , no visitors and no make-ups.  Stan Jones did join us today but he is neither a guest or a visitor.

HAPPY-TOONIES

Fred Schiedel came early today and was rewarded for this, he was also happy that he is getting closer to finding the oil leak in the car that he has been working on forever. Fred also spent some quality time with some of his grandchildren.

Doug Cameron had an apologetic loonie. Today he had planned to tell us all about Rotary Foundation but alas he was not prepared, we will all be anxiously awaiting the new date.

The Community Project Committee met and the Chair Paul Witmer  announced that the Gazebo at Bechtel  Park which was previously built by our club needs to be rebuilt. Previous costs to do this came in around b$20,000.00 but they were able to bring this down to $10,000.00. Paul moved a motion that the club support this venture for $10,000.00. It was added that this should be + or - 10 %. This motion was seconded by Laureen and it was unanimously passed.
