OPENING CEREMONIES
President Mike brought the crowd to order.  We sang a rousing rendition of our National Anthem, Toasted everything that was important to us and were blessed prior to the meal.  In my haste to gather notes of all the gossip at out table, I forgot to note who led the anthem and the blessing.  My apologies.

Table talk surrounded hockey and the hopes of Mike J., Paul W, and Don D. for their beloved HABS.

Ken Slade (True Blue Leafs Fan) indicates that the Leafs are playing a "Rope A Dope" style of hockey right now and are saving themselves for the playoffs.

Laureen explained the process of planning a last minute road trip for Bill to travel to Europe to witness their daughter, Abby, race and train for World Cup Snow Board Races.  Stay tuned for the travelogue of the Adventures of Bill and Abby.

Mike J. described his harrowing adventure with fire at Pearson Airport and the subsequent delays to his trip.  Despite the challenges, Mike made it safely to his destination safely and on time.

The esteemed Dr. Fox (Vet to the Rich and Famous.........until they pay the bill) and I hosted the Bingo event on behalf of the club on Tuesday, March 19.  We had great feedback about how amazing we looked in our Rotary Club of Cambridge North shirts.  Thank to Gerry for arranging and ordering the shirts for the members.

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS REPORT

We had what appeared to be a sparse crowd in the beginning.  When all the chips were counted, there were 16 of 23 members gathered for a 72% ranking.

HAPPY-TOONIES

Dean was happy about the weather and together with his daughter, they witnessed their first Robin of the season.  Spring has Sprung.

Dean was also happy to have been the beneficiary of the loot for the week (ie: 50/50).

Mike J. was happy to have survived his travel ordeal.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mike J. announced that the Cambridge North Rotary Charity Golf Tournament will take place Monday, September 9, 2019 at Galt Country Club.  Please start to assemble your your teams and sponsors as the date will sneak up on us quickly.

Dean Fitzgerald gave us a review of the Ribfest event and the results.
The event realized a Net Profit of $50,000 despite the fact that revenue was lower by approx $10,500 as a result of us not having a concert.
Beverage sales saw an increase of $18,000.
Attendees donated an average of $1.05 per person vs $1.03 from the previous year.
If we do the math, our efficiency per member works out to approx. $15.00 / hr.  We will examine ways to increase that figure.
There was discussion surrounding how we can scale our effort and continue with the event.
There is also serious thought that must be given to succession of executive in the event we lose some key members.
Some food for thought.

There was no Guest Speaker today.
