OPENING CEREMONIES
President Laureen presided over the meeting and  Paul W. promptly began the program with the singing of the National Anthem. This was followed, as usual, with a toast to Rotary and Canada followed by the invocation by Peter.

TABLE TALK
We had many discussions a couple that come to mind.
 
Re Larry had sold his Nissan - discussed pro and cons of using a dealership as opposed to having
a good reliable honest independent garage for repairs on our vehicles .
 
Also showing our age at this table back in the days driving standard - pro and cons were discussed.
 
Also had discussion with Peter and how he bikes 30 km or more a day during the week and the routes he finds interesting.
 
 
 
SERGEANT-AT-ARMS REPORT

 Our Sgt-At-Arms for today was Peter who announced that we had 15  members present. This was a 71.4% attendance out of 21.

There were no makeups or guests.

Larry was happy he had sold his Nissan Murano to Al Fox's  son in law .
 
Fred took his new motorcycle on ride to see the fall colors on the way to his cottage with one of
his traveling companions . Stayed at the cottage and watched the Nascar race .
 
Sean also took scenic motorcycle ride as well that weekend and enjoyed the fall colors.
 
Paul W had been to the eye doctor to have his glasses adjusted . Met Kelly Steenson daughter of Monty Steenson
a past member of our club who is now retired  a possible candidate.
 
Mike Jennings announced that his business had it's highest in one day revenue of 200,000.
Several contracts had been signed back at that time .
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
President Laureen announced that there is a board meeting - October 14
 
Fred announced monies had been allotted from our funds in the amount of 520.00 to help a young girl who required
eye treatment by Jeff's sister Dr Cynthia Matyas. She required 3 treatments and the other 2 Rotary Clubs contributed
the same amounts of 520.00 as well

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS SCHEDULE

The Sgt.‐At‐Arms (SAA) shall mark the attendance sheet, input Guest Names, Visiting Rotarians and Make‐ups submitted by club members, as well as calculate the meeting percentage. You will also give the invocation when requested by the President. At the end of the meeting make sure the Secretary has the “Secretary’s Copy”.

In addition, the SAA shall also fill in the attendance details on the “Bulletin Editor’s Copy” and make sure the editor receives it by the end of the meeting.

The person who is responsible for any Ticket sales shall enter the cash details on the “Treasurer’s Copy”. They shall also collect the Happy Toonies and enter that information on the same sheet. At the end of the meeting they shall give the treasurer the tally sheet along with the cash in an envelope. There is a supply of banker’s envelopes in the tote box.
